ACF Task Group Activities
ICCMC has been undertaking the two task groups which are supported and entrusted by ACF. These two task groups were set up in 2007 upon proposal by ACF. The main purpose is to draft technical reports from the viewpoint of code-drafting for WG3 and WG4 of ISO/TC71/SC7, which have been set up by the concerted efforts of ICCMC members. Term of office for both TGs is 2 years (Jan 2007- Dec 2008).

Task Group on Maintenance for Leakage due to Cracking

The purpose of this TG is to prepare the state-of-the-art of maintenance activities for leakage due to cracking and to prepare the ICCMCfs Level 3 document on maintenance for leakage due to cracking Coordinator is from Korea. In the 3rd ACF International Conference, which will be held in November 2008 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, research result will be presented under the title; gREPAIR OF WATER LEAKAE CRACKS IN CONCRETE STRUCTURESh written by Prof Sang Kuen Oh (Seoul National University of Technology, Korea) to draw out a successful and effective plan for repairing water-leakage cracks.

   
Task Group on Assessment and Intervention for Seismic Damage

The purpose is to prepare the state-of-the-art of assessment and intervention for seismic damage in Asia and to prepare the ICCMCfs Level 3 document on assessment and intervention for seismic damage. Coordinator is from Indonesia, Taiwan and Japan. In the 3rd ACF International Conference, research result wil be presented under the title; gSEISMIC DAMAGE ASSESSMENT AND RETROFITh written by Dr Hitoshi Kumagai (Institute of Technology, Shimizu Corporation, Japan), Prof Hiroshi Shima (Kochi University of Technology, Japan), Dr Lap-Loi Chung (National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering, Taiwan), and Prof Shyh-Jiann Hwang (National Taiwan University, Taiwan).

ISO Task Force Activities

ISO-TF has been encouraging ISO/TC71 to recognize the present situation and significance of Asian countries in the field of concrete technology. Main activities of ISO-TF involves; 1) leading ISO/TC71/SC7 to implement ACMC Part3 into a main part of ISO code on maintenance and repair of concrete structure, and 2). encouraging ISO/TC71/SC4 to include the contents of ACMC Level 1 and Level 2 into the umbrella code under SC4.
